Veteran Israeli design group UziDesign has opened 7 years ago, boutique agency that offers a variety of design services. Lets get to know them better -
Why did you feel the need to open a separate agency?
UziDesign has 17 years of experience working with clients and presenters. Our work includes website design, marketing, promotion and campaign management. We are known for our excellent service but felt like there was a need that wasn’t being met - our clients needed models and services we didn’t provide at the time, so that's when we decided to start UDM and expand our reach.
What makes UDM different from other agencies?
We are a full-service agency, which means we don’t just give you the basics. We go with you all the way: From the first ideas and concepts until the campaign or website goes live. We want the client to know that they are taken care of. Our focus is on customer service, and that includes our models as well.
What do you mean by that?
The models are extremely important to us, and their success is as important as ours is. If they do well, we do well. Therefore, while most agencies ask for a professional portfolio or acting lessons before you even contact them, we don't do that. UDM focuses on a personal and honest representation based on the models' appearance, talent and skills. We care about models on a personal level. For instance - safety is a huge priority, we make sure models are always accompanied either by one of our staff or a family member.
Does that include their terms of employment?
I'm glad you asked and I'm happy to answer yes! Unlike other agencies, our contracts are not long-term nor exclusive, so the models are free to work for other agencies if they choose to. Unless of course, the client asks for exclusivity from a presenter. But that's a great sign!
You mentioned full service - can you tell us more about the services you offer?
With pleasure! We offer full Studio Services – product photography, portfolio photography etc. As I have mentioned we now provide representation for all types of models so that we have many models to choose from. We have a team of experts that includes photographers, makeup artists, and stylists, anything you need for a production. And of course, we have access to a wide variety of locations in Israel and many other countries.
Any plans for the future?
Take over the world, of course! We started in Israel and have been working consistently abroad, notably with Bulgarian agency Ivan Fashion. They employ models from Bulgaria and Israel for international campaigns. We've also had some experience with beauty campaigns and fashion shows in the US and are currently looking for the perfect location to open a permanent branch there.
